As we know,at present the city is reeling under the COVID-19 fury.Amid this situation,initiative has started to convert eight hotels of the city into Covid care centre.As per information,asymptomatic Covid positive patients will stay these centres.Doctors and nurses will be deployed there for the treatment.Regarding the charge of the facility,Divisional commissioner stated that Rs.2500 per day will be charged from the patient.On the contrary,implanting agency Nagpur Municipal Corporation stated that the rates are not fixed.
A meeting between hotel owners and NMC administration was held on Monday to discuss the matter.It has been clarified that the patients staying in hotel will have to pay Covid care centre charge.However,the charge was not decided yet.NMC additional commissioner Ram Joshi stated that talks were on to convert eight hotels of the city to Covid care centre.The positive patients will be able to get their treatment by paying fee.On the other hand,divisional commissioner Dr.Sanjeev Kumar said that the patients will have to pay Rs.2000 as room charge while for health services,they will have to pay Rs.500 extra per day.The hotels which are earmarked for Covid care centre,most of them are quarantine centres.Hotel Association president Tejinder Singh Renu stated that hotels will decide at its own level for Covid care centre.
