After the COVID-19 induced lockdown, a student opened a hookah parlour in his house due to the financial crunch. As per information; Ajni police raided his house and arrested him along with a customer. The accused are Sunny Mahendra Wankhede (21), a resident of Vanjari Nagar and Harshit Gupta (21), a resident of Trimurthi Nagar.Sunny is a student of DPharma.
He lives with his mother and his father died few years back. Due to lockdown, he was facing financial problems. His friends were searching for place as hookah parlours of the city were closed. For earning money he opened a hookah parlour in his house. After getting information, Ajni police raided Sunny’s house on Saturday evening. He caught red handed with his friend Harshit Gupta.Police took both of them into custody and seized articles worth Rs.7000.Earlier, Hudekshwar police had also caught a hookah parlour in a house. As per information, hookah parlours are running in flats and houses at many places in the city.
