After being closed for almost 5 months Malls were reopened in the city form Wednesday. As the shop owners were excited to greet the customers after a long break but received a dull response from the citizen.
The government had allowed malls and shopping complexes to resume functioning from August 5. However, food courts, restaurants, and food zones will continue to remain closed, with only home delivery available.
The malls are allowed to stay open from 9am to 7pm.The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has stated that if the rules and regulations have not followed properly they have to face action.
But it received a dull response from the citizens as many shops were vacant while many were seen cleaning the shops as it was closed for such a long time.
With few footfalls the customers are very less due to the rising Coronavirus cases in the city. Many shops have done arrangements by shop authorities to maintain social distancing as included in the guidelines issued by the authority.
Maharashtra government on March 13 has declared the Coronovairus as an epidemic in five metropolitan cities- Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
