The RTMNU has shortlisted five candidates for the coveted post of Vice-chancellor of the university. As per information; the governor will be doing virtual interviews with all the candidates and the name may be announced before August 15.Dr.Siddharth Vinayak Kane retired in the month of April and the application for interested candidates was called by the committee.
The committee received 125 applications, which were screened online and the shortlisted candidates were called for personal interviews on July 30 and 31, 2020 and five names were shortlisted and sent to Governor’s office. The governor will be interacting with the candidates on today at allocated timeslots. Out of the five candidates, two are from Nagpur. The other three candidates are from Nanded, Norway and Mumbai. The five names include the officiating VC Dr.Subhash Chaudhry, former officiating VC Vinayak Deshpande, former officiating VC of Swami Ramanand Tirth Nanded University Dr.Ganeshchandra Shinde, and Dr.Mohan Kolhe from Agder University. Norway and IQAC dean professor Sunil Bhagwat from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai will be interacting with the governor.
