Gondia: Heavy rains on Sunday night have lashed parts of Gondia district while incessant rainfall was recorded in 6 revenue circles. The rains have made farmers smile as they were eagerly awaiting the rains.
According to District Agriculture Superintendent Ganesh Ghorpade, the rains are good for paddy. However, heavy rains have also resulted in water logging in many parts of Gondia due to which the traffic on Borgaon Davki to Deori and Sadak Arjuni to Murdoli was affected for few hours.
The incessant rainfall recorded in revenue circles of Mohadi was 112.6mm, Deori 85 mm, Chichgarh 85 mm, Sadak Arjuni 70.60 mm, Davva 71.60 mm, Saudad 70.60 mm. Sadak Arjuni tehsil in district has received 76.60 mm average rainfall.
The Meteorology department have predicted heavy rainfall in Vidarbha for next 4 to 5 days.
