As we know the coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly across the state and daily the end numbers of cases are increasing. Amid this condition, Minister of State for Health, Rajendra Patil Yadrawkar has claimed that the coronavirus pandemic in Chandrapur district is under control. Taking further precautions, the minister told officials to ensure that there is no community spread in the district.
He praised the work done by the Health machinery and directed officials to carry out maximum number of tests. The instructions came during a meeting with Health Department officials during Yadrawkar’s visit to Chandrapur for Independence Day function.
The Minister highlighted the need of carrying out large scale survey and focus on contact tracing during the meeting. District Surgeon Dr Nivruti Rathod presented detailed information about the current COVID-19 situation in the district.
The Minister told officers to ensure that all people get the benefit of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana through private hospitals. He also directed them to motivate people to have more plasma donors in the district.
He asked Health Department to carry out survey of people with such serious ailments and hold antigen tests. The Minister also assured that the district would get ample quantity of medicines to fight with the pandemic.
During the day Yadrawkar also carried out the inspection of under construction Government Medical College and Hospital. He took details of medical facilities planned there, the arrangement of the labourers working for the construction and structural plan of the Medical College.
Dean of Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandrapur Dr S S Morey, Dr Nivrutti Rathod, Civil Surgeon, Dr Bhaskar Sonarkar, Medical Superintendent, officials of medical college and health department were present for the meeting.
