This year citizens have adopted new measures and health guidelines to celebrate the Ganeshotsav which also marked the new behavioral change among the citizens and the new normal as well.
This year the mass celebration has been affected due to the coronavirus pandemic in the country but this has not affected our religious faiths in celebrating any festival with friends and family following the safety measures.
This year people may not be able to celebrate the festival like before but we surely know how to be happy and adopt in the time of need and yet celebrate the festival with zeal and enthusiasm. Here is how the Nagpur citizens are celebrating their festive season with family and how they made arrangements for Bappa. Shubham Harde, a resident of Nagpur said that we all know that Nagpur citizens celebrate Ganeshotsav with great zeal but even though this year the pandemic has affected the ways of our celebration, but not stopped us from celebrating the festival. Surely we have adopted new ways like following social distancing and wearing masks in family gatherings and wish Vignaharta to keep everyone safe.
We do miss the old gatherings were everyone came together and do Arti of Bappa, bring homemade Prasad. The pandals with beautiful themes and idols set in the city were bliss to all. But this year we all are fighting with the virus the new normal is the best option. This year we have used Eco-Friendly theme decoration as the flowers used for the decoration are made of paper said Pooja and Khushboo Verma
This is the most awaited festival of the year as every year we meet up with every colony member in the evening for Mandal Arti and fun activities for a few days. I am missing all those moments specially sandal and dhol tasha. In this pandemic era, Bappa is with us, and with Bappa, in our house, we can see the happy faces. Let’s have faith in him and hope for the betterment of the situation in the coming days. Ganpati Bappa Moriya! Deepti Gogiya.
At present we all are facing the challenge of Covid-19 pandemic. As Ganeshostav is not just a festival but an emotion for all of us, we all use to pray together have fun with lots of games, competition but this time it’s impossible to celebrate with the crowd. Let’s pray Bappa to make everything normal so that we can live a happy and healthy life. I miss my colony fun so seeming my decorations I memorise everything. Ganpati Bappa Moriya….wish u happy n safe life. Megha Suwarani
Ganeshotsav
barsaaton me chhutti manaate hain
modak laddu khaate hain
sabki chinta durr bhagaate hain
sabke dilon ko paas le aate hain
log milkar shor machaate hain
jab ganpati bappa aate hain…..
The one most awaited festivals of the year is here and with great enthusiasm, we are celebrating it like every year despite following all the rules of social distancing during this pandemic. The only aspect that I miss is the gatherings as they say, “so powerful is the light of unity; that it can illuminate the whole earth. I pray Lord Ganesha to shower his love upon us and keep everyone safe and save us from this pandemic Manya Amarnani.
This year Ganapati and Mahalaxmi celebration were completely prepared and decorated at home using the things we already have. We hardly purchased anything from outside. This year’s celebration was completely intimate. Though we missed many of the members of our family and friends at such a beautiful occasion but keeping everyone safe was our first priority this time. Aditi Bobhate.
