Now the railways would deal with the complaints about movement of goods on its helpline number 139.As per information, following the registration of a complaint, it has been made mandatory to address the complaint within three hours, failing which the aggrieved party would be entitled to lodge a complaint with additional DRM of respective zones.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the railways has stopped the movement of goods train. However, the railways have laid emphasis on the movement of parcel and transportation of goods by operating special trains to generate income. In view of this, the railway administration is thinking of innovative ways to attract the transporters of goods.
