After the Youth Congress launched an aggressive agitation, the NHAI authorities decided to close down the Mathni toll plaza on Bhandara Road for a period of one month. Though the road is in bad condition the toll recovery was going on unabated. They also assured that toll recovery would be resumed only after repairs of the road are complete. The activists had demanded that the said road be repaired up to August 16.
The officials of the concerned department didn’t pay much attention to the problems of the citizens. And the agitation was staged.
