The civic chief of Mumbai Iqbal Chahal raised many questions about antigen tests conducted in regard of COVID-19.He clearly stated that there are no doubts on reports of antigen reports but the reports which came negative can be wrong.Chahal who is a member of team of experts which came from Mumbai to Nagpur made this claim. He said that if antigen test of any person is negative and still symptoms are seen, the concerned person should immediately go for RTR-PC test.He stated that this test is not reliable in regard of negative report.
There is no issue in reports which come positive. Instead of increasing number of tests, there is need to give stress on quality of conduction of tests. He also focused on giving priority to reduce mortality rate. He also added that antigen tests should be conducted on seriously ill suspect patients only. He also asked to prepare war room in government and private hospitals. He also directed to install CCTV camera network during treatment to solve complaints lodged.
