Mayor Sandip Joshi again asked civic administration to complete pending concrete road works as citizens are facing inconvenience. He raised the issue during the meeting of civic officials on Monday at Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) headquarters at Civil Lines. He further pointed out uneven road levels and half way through road is leading to water stagnation. The flooding of low lying localities due to heavy rains is because of incomplete works.
At many places, work is on since last two years and condition of tar roads that were not repaired in anticipation of concrete roads has deteriorated making it difficult even to walk. Mayor directed Manoj Talewar, Superintendent, Public Works Department, and NMC, to submit status report on stalled concrete road works in city within a period of 3 days.
