The State Education Minister Uday Samant during his visit to the city said that the new education policy issued by the Central Government will be implemented in the state will be decided after one month. As the government has formed a committee to review and study the policy. Minister said that the committee’s recommendation will be received in amonth.Meanwhile he said that he had discussed with many academicians and everybody supported the policy. Minister said that his motive behind the formation of the committee is that after reviewing the education policy is there is any shortcoming the state can put forward the suggestions regarding it.
Regarding the conducting of the exam in the universities, he said that we had never said that we would not take the exam. While the reality is that during there was an on –going conversation with the vice-chancellors of the university. He had formed a committee under the chairmanship of the vice-chancellor of the University of Mumbai to conduct the examination. It was decided only after the committee’s report that the final year examinations be taken.
