After the order of Railway Ministry, the cleanliness fortnight commenced under the leadership of divisional railway manager Nagpur Division Somesh Kumar. He took the cleanliness drive in the railway station premises and appealed passengers to maintain cleanliness in station and trains. Divisional railway manager Somesh Kumar administered oath to railway officers and staff in DRM office about Cleanliness Awareness Day.
He also appeal all to dedicate 100 hours in a year which two hours a week to make the Swaccha Bharat of Mahatma Gandhi a reality. On the occasion, an appeal was made to passengers not to throw garbage at railway station, waiting room and trains. The Cleanliness Awareness Day was celebrated in Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway also under the leadership of DRM Shobhana Bandopadhyay.Street plays based on cleanliness were presented at all railway station in division.
