Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will be on a day-long tour of the city on September 21 to inspect Rahate Colony, Ajni Square, Bansi Nagar, and LAD Square metro rail stations of Nagpur Metro Rail project.
Janak Kumar Garg, CMRS, and his associates will inspect the work of Orange Line (Reach-I) and Aqua Line (Reach-III) of Nagpur Metro Rail project.
Garg had earlier conducted the inspection through video conferencing and gave necessary directions to the Nagpur Metro officials.
Ajni Square Metro Station has been constructed on the theme of modern architecture. Maha Metro has arranged ‘Skywalk’ for the passengers to reach the platform of this Metro Station. Rahate Colony Metro Station has been constructed on forest theme, and is made green.
Bansi Nagar and LAD Square Metro Stations have been constructed on ‘Aqua Theme’. The area of these metro stations is as follows: Ajni Square — 4,815 sq mtr, on Orange Line; Rahate Colony — 5,797.69 sq mtr, Bansi Nagar — 5,800 sq mtr, on Aqua Line; LAD Square –4,466.33 sq mtr.
Arrival/departure arrangements have been made on both sides of these stations. These stations have three levels — ground level, concourse level, and platform.
Ticket counter and station control room have been set up on the second floor, that is, concourse level, stated a press release.
