After receiving complaints regarding treatment cost for the Covid-19 patients, the state health government has made it compulsory to all hospitals in state to display treatment cost chart. The health minister Rajesh Tope has said that the Remdesivir medicine is given to coronavirus patients and its use has also increased. There is no shortage of this medicine in state. One lakh doses will be available in one month. As per information, there are complaints of black marketing of this medicine. Orders to take action in this have been started. As the Remdesivir is not a sure shot medicine. And the guidelines for its dose, rate and who will administer have also given.
The local administration has been instructed to take action if more treatment cost is charged. Every hospital will have to display treatment cost chart prominently so that people can get information. It is wrong to charge lakhs of rupees from patients and action will be taken against hospitals doing so.Minister also said that there is no shortage of oxygen in state. And the union government is planning to increase the cost of tithe cost will be introduced after the centre decides. The minister stated that doctors treating corona patients in designated hospitals should work in rotation seven days in Covid-19 section and as many days in non-covid section with one-day holiday in between. He also added that the rotation system would address the issue of shortage of doctors to some extent.
