After the agitation by employees and officers unions the administrative work at Nagpur University was stopped on Thursday. However, they suspended the agitation in the evening paving the way for holding the final year exams. And now students are expecting that the university to come up with a new schedule or take some decision in their interests.
Like other universities in the state, non-teaching staff and officers of colleges at Nagpur University also commenced a pen down agitation from September 24 demanding immediate implementation of the revised pay structure as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. The strike was called off from October 1 as there was no negotiation with the government. On Thursday the staff and officials have done no work. And the staff also warned that if the demands of the workers are not met, they have warned to go on strike again from October 19.And this is really creating obstacles for the exam department. And  the university will have to come up with new timetable for conducting exams.
