The Bombay High Court on Wednesday grant bail to actress Rhea Chakraborty in an alleged drug-related case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh, whereas the high court rejected the plea of her brother Showik Chakraborty.
Another Court had yesterday extended their judicial custody till October 20.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s employees Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have also been granted bail.
Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said “We are delighted by the order. Truth and Justice have prevailed and ultimately the submissions on facts and law have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwalâ€.
Rhea Chakraborty has to submit Rs 1 lakh as bond and mark her presence daily at the nearest police station for 10 days after her release and also has to hand over her passport and cannot travel abroad without the court’s permission.
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8 by the Narcotics Control Bureau on charges of organizing drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput, a popular movie star who was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
