Good news for citizens as after seven months, the passenger transport service of Maha Metro started in Nagpur on Friday. It began on Aqua Line from Sitabuldi to Lokmanya Nagar station on Reach 3.All safety measures have been taken on all the eight stations of this route due to COVID pandemic. Thermal screening of passengers was done in the main entrance. And monitored all the passengers had worn the mask or not.
However, only nominal number of passengers travelled in the train on the opening day. And children enjoyed the Metro ride while young girls and boys took the selfie on their mobile phones of the ride and uploaded it on social media. Passengers expressed happiness that the Metro ride has become enjoyable due to half ticket rates. As per information, the Metro service will start on Orange Line (Wardha Road) from October 18.
