MSME-DI & Reliance Dassault exploring indigenization for aviation

Recently a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Shri P.M.Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI, Nagpur with executives of Reliance Dassault System in association with Vidarbha Defence Industries Association (VDIA) to discuss setting up of Centre of Excellence (CoE) for aviation indigenization at Nagpur. Shri Rohit Mahajan, Senior Executive from Dassault Systems, Shri Dushyant Deshpande, Shri Dilip Gondnale, Executives Shri Yash Thodge, from VDIA, Nagpur, Shri Harihar Deshpande, Shri Nitin Welankar, from M/s Welan Technologies along with other officers from MSME-DI, Nagpur attended the meeting.

    The objective of the meeting was to discuss regarding setting up of Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Nagpur by VDIA with their strategic partners Dassault Systems and its business associates Welan Technologies with the support of MSME-DI, Nagpur. They proposed to leverage their strength to bring more and more catalysts to instill competence amongst the MSMEs in collaboration with MSME-DI Nagpur office.  

    In the beginning, Shri P.M.Parlewar, Director, MSME-DI, Nagpur welcomed all members present in the meeting.  He explained in brief about the working of MSME and the objective is to promote and develop industries and promote entrepreneurship development.  He also briefed the dignitaries about the various schemes of Ministry  of MSME for the promotion of industries like flagship scheme of cluster development, skill development, Business Incubation, Export promotion, Atmanirbhar Bharat (vocal for local) etc.  He also gave power point presentation on Cluster development scheme and also they were briefed about the Orange City Garment Cluster Nagpur which was set up by MSME-Di Nagpur (Through a short film on OCGC cluster).   

    Shri Rohit Mahajan from Dassault India Limited gave power point presentation regarding Karnatak pattern. He said that in furtherance to initiative project affected persons, industrial workforce, academia, MSMEs in skill development, design, development and manufacturing of indigenous products under Atmanirbhar Bharat, they proposed to leverage their strength to bring more and more catalyst to instill competence amongst the MSMEs in collaboration with MSME-DI at Nagpur.    Shri Duhyant Deshpande briefed about Defence Cluster being developed by VFIA at MIHAN Nagpur and informed that if MSME-DI leads in establishing CoE they will provide land and building inside the defence cluster.
