Lockdown may have ended but virus is still there- PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation and made everyone aware that the deadly virus is still taking a heavy toll on the lives of people and one must take necessary precautions in this festive season.

“India has taken all the necessary steps to fight the deadly virus like lockdown, social distancing, etc. With ‘Mission Begin Again’ the markets are back on track and are again blooming yet we must not forget that even if we have unlocked certain activities yet the virus is still affecting us.  India’s fatality rate is less as compared to other countries, active cases are also decreasing, yet we are not free from the trap of the virus” PM said.

“Since the beginning of the widespread the country has taken major steps to contain the virus as we have around 90 lakh above beds available, 12,000 quarantine centers, 2,000 corona testing labs, since the widespread of the virus we have done 10 crores total testing in the country, increases in the number of testing was one of the biggest reason where we were able to contain the spread of the virus,” he said.

“Recently according to many photos, and videos come to attention that people are approaching a casual behavior and not following rules. We may have given relaxation on lockdown but the virus is still out there and affecting our lives. We have to make sure that we follow the set protocols to keep our families safe. In other parts of the world like the United States of America where the cases were contained but then was hit by another deadly wave,” he warned the citizens.

Country is already working on the production of vaccines and will be working to provide the vaccines to everyone and make sure that it reachers to every part of the country once it is developed. So “Jab tak Davai nahi Tab tak Dhilai nahi”, this festival season we have to take extra care and help each other in containing the virus, maintain social distancing, wear the mask, use sanitizer, I want to see every citizen safe and healthy, I appeal media persons to make everyone aware about the virus.

I wish everyone a safe and happy festive season.
