Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad made it clear that the examinations of Class X, XII conducted by the State Board will not be conducted before May 2021 due to the prevailing coronavirus situation.
While speaking to the reporters she said, “The current situation of the coronavirus is likely to last for a longer period of time, we have discussed the issue of completion of syllabus but Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education will not be able to conduct the examinations before Mayâ€.
She also added that she has discussed the issue of how much curriculum can be omitted so that teachers can complete the remaining part. She said, “We have to omit the curriculum by atleast 25 percentâ€.
