Amravati: In a bid to provide quick medical facilities to patients of remote areas suffering from COVID- 19 disease as well as other serious diseases the administration of Amravati district is developing a portal by the name ‘Amravati Arogyam’.
District Collector Shailesh Nawal ingormed during a COVID-19 review meeting that the portal will register patients with serious illnesses in urban and rural areas
and provide them immediate treatment.
He further added that a mechanism would be set up to coordinate among people, health administration and health institutions. Health co-ordinators and ASHA workers will be appointed in each tehsils to coordinate this work.
Speaking further, Nawal said on this portal, tehsil-level medical coordinator will make important entries about critical illness as well as other ailments. The patient suffering from it will be given priority for admitting in government and private hospitals for immediate medical treatment.
The patient to be admitted for treatment will have to submit only two documents, his Aadhar card and ration card.
Through this, poor patients admitted for treatment will be given medical benefits from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule JeevandayiYojana and they will be treated free of cost, said Nawal.
Apart from this, 108, 102 ambulances will also be made available in case of emergency. The message will be sent to the patients concerned and doctors about which specialist doctors are available
in the government as well as private hospitals in the district and which hospitals have surgical facilities. Accordingly, the outline of treatment of patients will be decided, informed Nawal.
ASHA workers of the respective villages will be instructed to spread information
about this portal and facilities in every village and a health coordinator will be appointed at the tehsil level.
While taking COVID-19 review, Nawal said that although the number of coronavirus patients is declining but the risk remains.
Nawal, appealed to the doctors present to take initiative to work for the welfare of people so that all the ailing patients in their district should get medical treatment facility on the lines of Sawangi Meghe Hospital in Wardha district.
Considering thenupcoming Diwali festival, everybody should take proper care. Citizens should be more vigilant and follow preventive measures to prevent another wave of corona, appealed Nawal.
