Well, defying rules is not an uncommon thing in our lives. And when it comes to bursting crackers in Diwali, we didn’t even bother to challenge the deadly virus. As we know the city is reeling under the clutches of Covid-19, in view of the inconvenience of the general public and corona victims, the civic chief had banned bursting of loud firecrackers.
An order was also issued in this regard as the firecrackers greatly increase the level of air and noise pollution thus further adversely affecting the health of humans and animals. Therefore, citizens were urged to use firecrackers as minimum possible and avoid them as much as possible. Despite this order, there was no ban on scale of loud crackers. Citizens too did not hesitate to set loud firecrackers from evening to late night. As per information, No Objection Certificates have been issued to 582 traders for selling crackers. Citizens had gathered in large numbers at cracker shops on Saturday. The wholesale shops of crackers were crowded in Itwari, Sadar, and Sitabuldi.Eventhough, the administration issued order, and they didn’t taken strict measures to prevent this nuisance.
