Initiative to make-up academic loss, NMC teachers going to homes of students for teaching

After the COVID-19 outbreak, all the colleges and schools are closed in view of safety. In this situation, civic authority has started online teaching to curb the academic loss of the NMC schools’ students. However, the lack of smart phones or laptops the students suffered academic loss. Therefore, keeping in view the future of students, NMC has launched teachers at students door programme. The teachers are going to the houses of the students to teach them.

About 364 teachers of NMC schools providing education to the students by collecting them in a common public place or reaching their homes. Students from slum areas have been included in this campaign. As per information from the education department, online education has been started by the app to the students of class 8 to class 12.Every week the education department gets the reports of online and offline education of students through school inspectors. Besides this, planning to meet the parents is also done. And during the lockdown period, 16,357 students of NMC schools participated in this programme.
