After much tussle, GoAir returned Rs.1.34 lakh to Harihar Pande in Nagpur on Sunday. Earlier, the airline had refused to refund the amount in the name of flight credit shell after the flight got cancelled due to Covid-19 induced lockdown.
And Harihar Pande had to write to the civil aviation minister, the prime minister and even the President regarding this matter for getting the amount back. As per information, Pande had booked 50 tickets worth Rs.1.34 lakh for the airlines Nagpur-Mumbai flight. The flight got cancelled. But instead of refunding the amount gave Pande to book tickets on another flight and transferred the amount to credit shell. And the recent Supreme Court decision regarding this played a crucial role in Pande getting the money back.
