Janak Kumar Garg, Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) will be on two-day inspection visit of the new works carried out on Aqua Line (Reach-3) of Nagpur Metro Rail Project, from today. During the visit, CMRS, and his team will be visiting Rachna Junction and Shankar Nagar Square metro station on Hingana Sitabuldi route. The Rachna Junction on North Ambazari Marg and Shankar Nagar Square Metro Station are built on ‘Aqua Theme’.
The Hingna route is always crowded with commuters as there are educational institutes, industrial estates and a large market. The major aspect is, recently Nagpur Metro Rail Project’s Rahate Colony, Ajni Square, Bansi Nagar and LAD Metro stations have also been open for the citizens. Total 16 metro stations have been open for passenger services. A metro station has been set up in the area of Rachna Junction (3488.07), Shankar Nagar Square (6996.00) square meters on the and arrival/ departure arrangements have been made on both sides (north and south) of the station. A ticket counter and station control room are set up on the second three storey concourse level, namely ground level, concourse level and platform.
