In a constant drive by various NGOs to save the last area covered with century-old trees and to save the natural habitats from being chopped down for various projects a Signature Campaign is organized at Ajni Van to emphasize support by Nagpurkers for the cause “Save Ajani Vanâ€.
The campaign will be held on Sunday the December 20, 8 am onwards opposite Mamu tea stall at Ajni Railway Colony area. The drive to save thousands of trees from being chopped in and around the Ajni region to build an intermodal station by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Green Lovers have timely joined hands in order to save the trees and conserve the region as it is the only part left in the city which is a home for various flora and fauna.
“For the future of keeping our City liveable, for the health of ourselves and the future generation, you are requested to support the cause and be part of this campaign. Let’s sign and pledge for saving thousands of trees from destruction in the name of so-called development” appealed the organizers.
