A few weeks back the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court, slammed the Nagpur Municipal Corporation for the poor condition of the roads, particularly in areas like Sangharsh Nagar, Chandmari Temple Road, Bidgaon T-point, and many others, therefore on putting forward this point, the Superintendent Engineer of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, M. H. Talewar, on Monday in an exclusive chat with TLN team said, “The Maharashtra Government has approved for repairing the specific roads which are under bad condition but only the approval from the side of Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B is left to be cleared”.
Elaborating further over the High Court’s order, Talewar added,†We have presented forward the tender process and the estimated expenditure which is approximately Rs 7.5 crore for the repairing of defective roads but we have not received the amount yet, so as soon as the granting process is generated, we will immediately process forward with the road repairing projectâ€.
Among the roads which have broken badly and needs a special mention are Sangharsh Nagar, Chandmari Temple road, Bidgaon T-point, and the Bhandewadi Dumping Yard, out of which more or less all have been decided to be constructed as tar roads and only one road which is connected towards Wathoda will be constructed as cement road, explained Talewar.
