Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has started a training workshop, for the health workers, about how to give the Covid-19 vaccination, from Wednesday at the Mahal Town Hall, between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The exact date of vaccine provision in the city has not been declared yet.
According to a health-worker from NMC, it has been disclosed by the NMC administration, that the vaccine centres will be divided into various zones. Under which a team of 5 people will be formed-in which there will be a nurse mandatorily who will be injecting the vaccine to people, police who will be invigilating the system, a supervisor who will be monitoring the vaccination process, one person who will be appointed to verify the documents of the registered candidates and one more person who will be supporting to the nurse present at the centre.
For every zone, there will be one medical officer who will be supervised by the Zonal Medical officer. The decision for the installation of the total number of vaccine centers zone wise in the city is yet to be taken, mentioned the NMC worker.
As per the worker, there is no hard and fast rule that all citizens who have registered themselves for the vaccination earlier, need to be present at the center, or to be specific, they have to undergo the vaccination process. Only interested candidates, who will themselves proceed to the center for the verification as per their choice, shall be allowed to take the vaccine.
The candidates who have registered for the vaccine will be receiving a message at their phone numbers to know their date and center for vaccination.
The rest of the decisions for the vaccination process is left to be taken by NMC and has not been revealed till now.
