B D Nanawate, one of the close associate of the founder of BSP Kashiram, birth his last on January 4. His last rite was done on January 6, at Mokshadham Ghat, in the city. Uttam Shewade, PRO of BSP, Maharashtra informed that Nanawate, was working in LIC as an officer.
He came in contact with Kashiram, through BAMCEF(All India backward SC/ST/OBC And Minority Communities Employees Fedration) activities and had also written books as directed by Kashiram. He was also editor of the monthly journal The Oppressed Indian in 1979 and also associated with English daily Bahujan Times He also run BAMCEF in Chandramani Nagar by the name ‘Brotherhood Centre’. “It’s a big loss to the BSF family, We have lost a fatherly figure,†Shewade said.
