A great sigh of relief to the civic authorities of Nagpur as the second capital of the state reported decline in the positive COVID-19 cases on January 17. With 150 fresh cases in the day, 9 people succumbed to the infection. After todays count, the cumulative number of positive cases reached to 130619.
From the total 4081 deaths so far, 2699 deaths are from the city, 726 from rural and rest 656 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 3960 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Also, 394 persons became free of the infection in the day taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 121721 (including 66446 home isolation recoveries). After today’s update the recovery rate stands at 93.80%.
Today’s 150 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
