Dr Yashwant Patil International President, Commonwealth Association for Health And Disability (COMHAD) UK, said through a communiqué, “We are pleased to inform you that our dynamic, ebullient Executive Director of COMHAD Dr Uday Bodhankar has been elected for second term of two years as Deputy Chairperson of Commonwealth Health Professions Alliance (CHPA).†Dr Bodhankar is the first Asian on the highest international Commonwealth Foundation, UK hailing from city.
The CHPA is an alliance of seven Commonwealth Health Professional Associations and the highest policy advisor in Health-Related Issues to Commonwealth Foundation and 54 commonwealth countries.
The CHPA consists of the following seven Commonwealth Medical Associations viz; Commonwealth Medical Association, Commonwealth Association for Health
and Disability, Commonwealth Association for Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Commonwealth HIV and AIDS Action Group, Commonwealth Dental Association, Commonwealth Pharmacists Association, Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation.
CHPA Headquarter is in London, UK and the Queen Elizabeth of England is the patron of the Commonwealth Foundation.
