People with disabilities do not need sympathy or help , not small help, but need business opportunities to live with dignity. The appeal to create such opportunities by society was made by the famous industrialist, chairman, Ranjana Group of Industries, and Bha. H. Pa. Divyang Morcha, State President of Maharashtra Shri. Jaysingh Chavan. He was speaking on the topic ‘Vision for divyang empowerment’ at the Ashadeep Lecture Series (2021) of Ashadeep Apang Mahila Bal Vikas Sanstha.
Although his business was destroyed by fire twice, Jaisinghji , literary rose from the ashes like a phoenix to became a successful entrepreneur. Kupp. C. Sudarshan (Sar Sangha chalak) advised him to join BJP Divyanga Morcha for the progress of Divyanga, and he is Maharashtra state President today and working diligently, today he is Maharashtra State president for Divyang Morcha.
Mr. Jaisingh Chavan informed about the provisions and schemes for the disabled in government and non-government organizations. And assured the needy Divyanga Snehi mandal members to support them for follow up.
In this interactive program, the members expressed their doubts and difficulties to Jaysinghji. He guided them to understand the scope and apply in proper format.
Shri Shirish Darvekar, (Project Director Saksham, Nagpur ), who was specially present at the event, said, all organizations have a provision for help to divyangapersons , but a guidance center should be set up to get it. The need for special park and Gym for the disabled and a net café facilities , recreation centre with facilities of indoor and outdoor sports was also spelt out by members.
Organizations like Ashadeep and Saksham should come together and follow up with the local administration, said Mr. Jaysingh Chashan.
At the end of the program, the president and advisor of the organization, Shri. L. B. Patil mentioned that Jaysingrao’s enterprising, hardworking personality is very inspiring for the members. His guidance will certainly be useful to Ashadeep, and other organisation as well as motivate youth to face the challenges in life and achieve the dreams through hard work , and not depend on charity for the progress.
He appreciated that despite the difficult situation of Covid, Ashadeep has continuously boosted the morale of Divyang members by conducting 26 personality development programs in a series called Samvadasetu.
Secretary Aparna Kulkarni welcomed the guests and reviewed the scope of activities of Ashadeep centre of Apanga Mahila Bal Vikas Sanstha, such as felicitation of achievements of divyanga meritorious students and youth and annual Late Smt Usha Sant award in appreciation of adivyanga achiever. Two short films ‘Yes, I can’ and ‘Sakas wa Suras’, depicting the scope of activities of Ashadeep centre , were shown.
Dr. Pratima Shastri gave a brief overview of the project ‘Nagpur Divyangbhushan Success Story 2020’ which tells the success story of 15 successful inspiring Divyangas of Nagpur. She displayed the first video in this series, introducing Mr. Jaysingh Chavan, which was uploaded on YouTube in his special presence and launched this video series. Other videos from the series will soon be posted on YouTube. Dr. Anagha Naseri proposed vote of thanks.
