In what could be taken as an improvement in COVID-19 situation, the number of daily positive cases and death count has been witnessing steady decline for past some time in Nagpur district.
On January 27, the district reported 166 cases taking the cumulative total of cases to 132990. Also, the district witnessed 3 deaths after a long period. The death toll due to the deathly virus has touched to 4140. Out of the total deaths 738 cases were reported from rural areas, 2718 cases from the district and 684 from out of the district.
With 248 persons getting cured of the infection in the day the cumulative number of recovered cases reached 125667Â (including 67633 home isolation recoveries). With less recoveries the recovery rate is also dropping down, today it stands at 94.49%.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases of the city now stands at positive 3183 cases including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Today’s 166 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
