A proactive move indeed as the nationwide de-addiction campaign named ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign’ has been launched in 272 districts including Nagpur to create awareness generation programmes for students, teachers, and parents about the growing drug abuse. District Collector Ravindra Thakare informed that it is a part of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Districts have been identified on the basis of national surveys conducted in terms of substance and alcohol abuse. Apart from Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik have also been included in this campaign. This campaign aims to save the young generation from addiction and hence the role of trained volunteers is very big in this campaign. District Collector also stated that the volunteers have to work tirelessly for the success of the programme.
