The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s nuisance search squad on Monday (February 8) took action against 154 irresponsible citizens without masks and recovered a fine of Rs 77,000 in total from them (Rs 500 from each of them). Masks were also given to all these citizens. In the last few months, search teams have taken action against 30,895 citizens and so far Rs 1,38,06,500 fine has been collected.
Although the number of corona patients has decreased, the risk of coronavirus infection has not been averted. Even now, in many places, safe distances are not observed. In urban areas, it is dangerous to see unmasked citizens walking around. Therefore, the nuisance detection team is taking strict action against the citizens who are endangering their own health, family health and the health of the society in such an irresponsible manner and they are being given masks.
2 under Laxminagar zone, 15 under Dharampeth zone, 43 under Hanuman Nagar zone, 11 under Dhantoli zone, 6 under Nehrunagar zone, 14 under Gandhibagh zone, 4 under Sataranjipura zone, 24 under Lakdaganj zone, 13 under Ashinagar zone. The action was taken against 20 persons from the zone and 2 persons from the corporation headquarters on Tuesday under the guidance of search team chief Virsen Tambe.
In order to control the number of patients in Nagpur, the Municipal Corporation’s nuisance search team is taking action against irresponsible citizens walking around the zone without masks every day. Wearing masks to protect citizens from corona, adhering to social distance, washing hands etc. Is being repeatedly suggested by Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The corporation has also appealed to the intelligent and responsible citizens to protect themselves and their families by wearing masks.
