Recently a cluster of nine bank unions namely AIBOA,AIBOC,NCBE,AIBOA,BEFI,INBEF,INBOC,NOBW and NOBO orgainsed an all India protest to press for their various demands including government move to privatize banks.
The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech announced a government proposal to privatize two public sector banks in addition to IDBI Bank. The demonstration was organized under the leadership of general secretary of EMBEA Jaiwant Gurway.Joint convener and president of EMBEA Suresh Bobhate addressed the gathering and asked the employees to show solidarity against anti-workers and anti-customer policies of the government. State secretary of MH-II AIBOC Subash Samdekar also addressed the gathering and narrated the importance of staying together at this hour to fight against the government move of privatization of banks.
