The surge in COVId-19 cases remains to be a matter of concern for Nagpur district authorities. Despite continuos appealing from the administration, citizens have started taking the virus lightly ignoring the basic COVID guidlines. Also the dip in recovery rate is adding to the tension.
On Sunday Feburary 15, the district reported 498 fresh cases with the recovery rate to 94.90 percent.
As per the official reports, out of the total positive cases 57 were from rural areas and
439 from Nagpur city alone. With these fresh cases, the cumulative total in the district rose to 139253.
Further, 6 new deaths were recorded on
Saturday, 3 from Nagpur city and 2outside the district while 1 from rural area.
With these new deaths added on Saturday, the cumulative death count rose to
4233.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 4216 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
With 281 recoveries in the day the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 130759 (including 69761 home isolation recoveries).
Today’s 498 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
