The number of corona victims in Nagpur city is increasing once again. The municipality has stepped up testing to break the chain of corona infections. However, after the test, the patient should not come in contact with anyone and he should get the test report early so that he can get treatment quickly. Taking action in this regard, report of corona test in all government and private labs should be given within 24 hours, strongly instructed Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B.
Regarding the daily increasing number of corona patients, the Municipal Commissioner had organized a special meeting of doctors of all government and private labs in the city on Monday (15th) in the ‘Corona War Room’ at the corporation headquarters. Additional Commissioner Jalaj Sharma, Ram Joshi, Dr. Sanjay Nipane, Medical Health Officer Sanjay Chilkar, Dr. Narendra Bahirwar, Assistant Medical Health Officer Vijay Joshi was also present.
Timely treatment of a corona-infected patient with symptoms is essential. But those who have no symptoms can be dangerous to others. Therefore, if the corona report is received early, it will be possible to take necessary action regarding the treatment and segregation of the patients concerned. The Municipal Commissioner also directed to take action against all the labs.
It is mandatory to take the full address and mobile number of each person coming for the test while registering. If the address is not accurate, there will be no contact tracing of the patient concerned and the number of patients will continue to increase. Therefore, in order to avoid any problem in ‘contact tracing’, the citizens should also mention their exact address and mobile number, the commissioner appealed. Employees working at the Corporation’s Corona Testing Center are required to specify the full address of the citizen.
