Free and best education is a fundamental right of every child. It is necessary to reopen the closed schools of the corporation to provide education to every child living in the area. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari stated that the corporation has started the appropriate action for this and the closed schools of the corporation in the city will be started in phases. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari on Wednesday visited Zingabai Takli Municipal Primary and Upper Primary School on the statement of Save Government School Joint Action Committee. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari was speaking on the occasion.
Ruling party leader Sandeep Jadhav, Corporator Archana Pathak, Corporator Sangeeta Girhe, Municipal Education Officer Preeti Mishrikotkar, Guide of Save Government School Joint Action Committee Amitabh Pavde, Pramod Kalbande, Convener Deepak Sane, Member Sanjay Bhilkar were present on this occasion. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari inspected the premises, classrooms and building of the closed Zingabai Takli Municipal Primary and Upper Primary School. The corporation is positive to restart the school, for which appropriate efforts are being made. Also, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari appealed to the parents to send their children to the Corporation’s school.
Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari further said that every effort is being made by the corporation to improve the quality of its schools. First of all, the school uniforms of the corporation were changed, a conducive environment was created for education, computer labs and art galleries were started in many schools. As a result, for the last four years, students of NMC schools have been passing with 90% marks. The quality of education in the Corporation’s schools has improved and now the children are getting quality education. Therefore, parents should enroll their child in the school of the corporation, appealed Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari.
