Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA), Vidarbha called on Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha & Indian Sherpa on G-20 & G-7 Suresh Prabhu on his visit to Nagpur & deliberated on various economic & industrial issues. COSIA team comprising of its Chairman Mayank Shukla, Vice Chairman CA Julfesh Shah, & Core Committee member Pranav Ambaselkar suggested to the former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu that Nagpur and its surrounding area has also a lot of Potential for establishing Defence Hub as the nation is moving with an ambitious mission of ‘ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT’ and moreover has a concentration on defence material procurement & ‘Make In India’ is a way to achieve this mission.
Since Nagpur and the surrounded area has more than 30 Ordinance Factories they can be of great help to support ‘Make In India’ & also can, in turn, outsource their work to MSMEs and promote the sector in this area and thus a lot of job opportunities could be created. Former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu endorsed this suggestion & assured to take it forward at an appropriate forum to get the desired results. Dr.Vikas Mahatme, MP, Rajya Sabha, Ajay Sancheti, Ex MP, CA Ashish Muslim & others were present on the occasion.
