Due to the upsurge in the number of COVID 19 positive cases in many Maharashtra districts, the state government has decided to put some highly affected areas under containment zones in order to control further transmission of the virus.
These places include Achalpur taluka under the Amravati Municipal corporation area in the Amravati district, Pusad and Pandharkawada Municipal Councils in Yeotmal district, Akot Taluka, Murtizapur taluka and arca under the Akola Municipal Corporation in Akola district.
The government stated that “Detailed orders regarding permissible and non-permissible activities as well as taking up all requisite precautionary measures in the said zones may be issued by the districts immediately”.
