There is no respite from the COVID-19 situation getting worse in the region. The admistration has already issued warning and are continuously appealing citizens to stay indoor and follow COVID-19 guidlines. The city on Saturday reported good number of recoveries as compared to last two weeks.
On February 20, the district crossed the 700 mark on second consecutive day with 725 positive cases in the day. The total number of cases has reached 142507. On Saturday 6 people succumbed to the virus-borne disease taking the tally of deaths to 4267.
As per the official report, out of the total positive cases, 137 were from rural areas and 585 cases from Nagpur city alone.
Meanwhile, from the total deaths, no cases were reported from rural area, while 3 each were registered from Nagpur city and outside the city.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 5834 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
With 502 recoveries in the day, the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 132406 (including 72666 home isolation recoveries). The recovery rate recorded today was 92.91 percent.
Today’s 725 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
AIIMS (91), GMC (139), IGGMC (144), MAFSU (0), NEERI (42), RTMNU (35) Private Lab (238) and Antigen (36).
