In the wake of rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in Vidarbha, Maharashtra government has imposed One-week complete lockdown in Amravati district excluding Achalpur city, says Guardian Minister Yashomati Thakur.
The lockdown will start from February 22 and will continue till February 28. Essential services will be allowed during the lockdown.
Other Establishments to remain open from 9 am to 5 pm in city-western areas of all districts of the division.
Industrial units will remain the same.
– Only 15%, or 15 persons will work in all government and private offices except urgent service.
-Transportation will continue.
– Total 4 people will be permitted in a car, 50% passengers in bus and 3 persons in auto.
– Only 10 people in the temple.
-Retail vendors in wholesale market to remain open from 3 to 6 in the morning.
-School, colleges, cinema, gym, swimming pool etc. closed
– All socio-state programs banned.
-All closed, leaving essential services till Saturday evening, order of Divisional Commissioner Piyush Singh.
Amravati has seen the sharpest spike in Covid-19 cases across Maharashtra this week. The district recorded the second highest number of cases (806) after the capital city of Mumbai – which saw its tally go up by 897 cases on Saturday, the sharpest spike after November 29.
Other four districts in Amravati division will have restrictions like mid-September COVID-19 peak. Divisional Commissioner issued circular in this regard.
