Dr. Ambedkar Institute Of Management Studies and Research, Deekshabhoomi was sealed in the afternoon of Tuesday as 15 staff members tested positive for Covid-19. The infections were discovered after NMC conducted a test on all staff members of the institute. These tests were conducted on February 18 and 20. NMC is conducting such tests in many institutes and other commercial outlets to curb the spread of coronavirus infection.
Testing in the Ambedkar College was conducted in batches, where within the first two batches, 15 people tested positive. These people were from the office and the housekeeping staff. After the results of the test came on Tuesday, the NMC officials sealed the college in the afternoon. NMC will also continue the tests of the remaining batches of staff in schools. Preventive measures like these are seen as great initiatives and efforts by the city administration to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
