Nagpur district reported decline in daily COVID-19 cases on second consecutive day but still the virus cannot be taken lightly. Also, there is improvement in the recovery rate as it is dropping down each day.
On February 28, registered 899 positive cases in the day. The total number of cases has reached 149788 so far. Today 5 people succumbed to the virus-borne disease taking the tally of deaths to 4335.
As per the official report, out of the total positive cases, 174 were from rural areas and 722 cases from Nagpur city alone.
Meanwhile, from the total deaths, 2 cases were reported from Nagpur city and 3 were registered from outside of the city.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 8253 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
With 575 recoveries in the day, the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 136625 (including 74802 home isolation recoveries). The recovery rate recorded today was 91.60 percent.
Today’s 899 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
