On March 5, the Nagpur district reported spike in daily cases of COVID-19 as it witnessed 1393 fresh cases with 9 people succumbing to the disease.
After today’s addition of cases the tally of positive patients reached 155275.
The total death toll due to the coronavirus has touched to 4374. Out of the total positive cases so far 219 cases were reported from rural areas, 1172 cases from the city and 955 from out of the city.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stands at 10432 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.
Also, 583 corona affected patients became free from the infection taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 140469 (including 74031 home isolation recoveries). After today’s update the recovery rate stands at 92.46 percent.
Today’s 1393 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
