The RTMNU authorities had not satisfactory reply to the issue raised by Adv Manmohan Bajpai about the continuation of contract granted to an agency, without inviting fresh tenders. The agency appointed in the year 2015 for processing examination work and results, has been granted an extension continuously. The contract period was of only three years. The issue was raised in the previous meetings also.
Vishnu Changde, Prakash Randive andothers also participated in the discussion. Discussion on the issue consumed about 45 minutes of the allotted one hour for question-answers. The question hour will again be taken on Wednesday.
Adv Bajpai, Changde, Sanjay Kavisgvar, Randive, and others also participated in the discussion on the University budget. The issue was how to remove the deficit of about Rs 55 crore. The members alleged that the manner in which extension to the agency was granted, leads to suspicion. The involvement of insiders in the university cannot be ruled out. The members have appealed to the authorities to investigate the issue properly.
