After the minor change happened in sitting assignment of the High Court, Justice Sunil Shukre will once again head Nagpur bench as Senior Administrative Judge from Monday. And he will also head the main writ division bench dealing with all civil writ petitions and all PILs. Justice Avinash Gharote will be his brother judge. The division bench consisting of Justice Z A Haq and Justice Amit Borkar will take up all criminal work including criminal writ petitions and criminal appeals. Another division bench consisting of Justice Atul Chandurkar and Justice Pushpa Ganediwala will take up all direct and indirect taxes and customs applications, all LPAs, all first appeals and family court appeals, all contempt appeals and petitions.
Justice V M Deshpande will hear all civil writ petitions and CRAs. Justice Swapna Joshi has been assigned to hear all second appeals and MCAs. Justice Rohit Deo has been assigned to hear all anticipatory bail applications, all criminal writ petitions, all criminal applications under section 482 Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and all single bench criminal work not assigned to any other court. Justice S M Modak will hear all first appeals, all appeals against orders. Justice Vinay Joshi will hear regular bail applications, all criminal appeals of all categories up to the year 2011, and all criminal revision applications. Justice Nitin Suryawanshi will hear all criminal appeals of the year 2012 and all criminal applications under Section 407 and CrPC.
