Due to the lockdown, the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court would be functioning online. As per the notification which was issued on Friday, the HC would be functional for five days, and only the most important cases would be heard. As per the notice, March 15, 17 and 19, Bench comprising of Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Avinash Gharote would be hearing civil cases and writ petitions. Similarly Justice Rohit Deo would be hearing all Public Interest Litigations (PIL),Justice Vinay Joshi would be hearing anticipatory bail petitions, and petitions under CRPC Section 482.
Regular bail application, foreclosure appeals till the year 2011,foreclosure revision petition on March 16 and 18.Justice ZA Haq and Justice Amit Borkar’s Bench. Criminal petitions, criminal writ petition, Justice Vinay Deshpande,Civil writ petitions and civil revisions petitions on March 16,Justice Swapna Joshi.Second appeal, other civil petitions and regular bail appeals Justice Shriram Modak.Hearing on first appeals, anticipatory bail application would be done by Bench comprising of Justice Atul Chandurkar and Justice Pushpa Ganediwala on March 17.All direct and indirect tax and customs appplications,references and appeals, letters patent appeals, first appeals, family court appeals, contempt appeals, and contempt petitions, would be heard on March 18 by Justice Vinay Deshpande.Civil Writ petitions, civil revision applications and anticipatory bail applications and the foreclosure appeals would be heard by Justice Nitin Suryavanshi.
